Photo Friday!

The sun is out! I see blue sky! Best of all, it's not RAINING in the Pacific Northwest! Hallelujahhh!

As soon as I could see light out this morning, Dog Wonder and I were outta here (do you know about Maggie the Dog Wonder? She wrote about herself in this post here). Here's our morning walk in pictures taken on my cell phone:
I live in a pretty little town. The sunrise was so pretty this morning with the pinks and yellows! It's cold out though - you can see the frost on the roof of this church that's across from our neighborhood. The photo's a little blurry - you can't always tell what kind of picture you're going to get while Maggie's trying to keep going.

Maggie was on a mission to one of her favorite stops along our walk. She's so predictable.

This is one of Maggie's favorite spots to run around in (can you tell I was having fun playing with my phone camera's filter app?)

As we kept walking, it started getting cloudier. Oh man! Just pretend you can see the gorgeous view of Puget Sound and the Olympic mountains. Come back, sun!

From the last pic to this pic, all I did was turn around and look a different way, and here's what I saw - Potential! Isn't that the way it is in life with most things? Just look at something a different way and you can find hope that the sun will come out again. :)

Maggie looks at life that way too. Who's a good girl?!?!
I used the red eye remover on this picture of Maggie. It' not bad, but not very natural looking. I'm not sure which one is creepier - glowing eyes or doll eyes. SHE'S not creepy though. :)

I'll leave you with a picture that I took on a walk just about a year ago at almost the same spot as the picture above, looking towards the Olympics and Puget Sound. Now you can see what I'm talkin' about!
I feel so lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world.

Happy Friday to all of you! Hope you have a great weekend.

  3. Hey Sharon! What a beautiful view you have. I love seeing those mountains in the backdrop. As much as the rain can be downer this time of year, don't you love how green and lush everything is? The grasses are growing like crazy around here and they are so lush. I went over and read your post on Maggie and I LOVED it. I left you a comment over there, but it said it was waiting on approval, so I hope it worked. Maggie looks like the perfect hiking, walking and all around buddy.
I do the same thing when I see a break in the clouds, I see potential and beauty. The kids and I were heading out to dinner last night as the sun was setting and there was a huge batch of white clouds that were hot pink and we all exclaimed that it looked like cotton candy. It really did, we all wanted to reach up and grab a bite. Have a great weekend and I hope the sunny weather holds out for you :)
    xoxo, Jackie
